We spend most of the day preparing to leave in two days. Lots of laundry and organizing stuff. Nana and Farfar aren’t feeling well, so they rest most of the day.
We take Kumiko to The Garage for yummy burgers.
Then we head across the street to the Saluhall. We select some fancy cheeses and crackers for appetizers tonight. Then Kumiko and I sit for a coffee until the kids begin making such a ruckus we feel obligated to leave.
Kumiko has an interest in beautiful modern pottery, so we are sure to walk her through the two workshops here. Our favorite is the traditional salt glazed pottery that’s been made here for centuries. But the other is also amazing with its metallic paints. It’s a nice little reprieve from the packing at home.
We organize toys, which leads to playing with the kids. They get so excited when I pull out something they haven’t seen in a couple weeks. So cute. I don’t take any more pictures today, but Lillian snaps a few at dinner.
It’s a simple day as our time here winds down.
